Meet Your Therapist
Ana was born in Peru and moved to the USA in 1999. She gained an MA in Occupational Therapy in New York City where she practiced as a pediatric OT for 5 years before moving to Tampa, where she continued to work in the same field for a further 5 years.
In recent years Ana has honed her skills in different areas of therapy and wellness, placing emphasis on areas such as therapeutic listening, nutrition, lifestyle and heavy parent involvement to ensure her clients receive the maximum benefit from her services.
Ana is fully bilingual in English and Spanish, which has been immensely beneficial both to Ana and to her clients as it has enabled her to enter often less-privileged demographics in which the need for occupational therapy services is high.
Meet Dr. Isaac Goiz Duran: pioneer of Biomagnetic Pair Therapy
Interview (translated by our good friend and biomagnetic therapist in Miami, Monica Winston) with Dr. Goiz Duran, who founded biomagnetic pair therapy in 1988 and went on to treat and heal many thousands of clients and train thousands of practitioners to bring his technique to the world.
Watch Biomagnetism in action!
Watch Dr. Goiz Duran perform a 10 minute scan on a patient, healing the organism of multiple conditions that would typically take a number of medications and several months to treat with traditional practice. Includes before/after blood analysis!
Are there clinical studies to support Biomagnetic Therapy?
Biomagnetic Therapy has been practiced for centuries, and there has been particular interest in its application and effectiveness in the past 30 years, pioneered largely by Mexican physician Dr Isaac Goiz (see videos above). While there is continued debate surrounding its effectiveness in Western Medicine, there have been clinical studies performed on its use to treat multiple symptoms, with several showing positive results. Here are a few for reference:
- This study suggests that magnetic therapy may be applied to cases of insomnia, with around 70% of patients showing an improvement in symptoms including reductions in sleep latency, sleepiness after rising and sleepiness during the day.
- This study shows there was some improvement in pain intensity, functional status, tender point count and tender point intensity among patients with fibromyalgia.
- This study tested the effects of Biomagnetic Pair Therapy (BPT) on laboratory response in patients having tested positive for typhoid fever, with 10 of those 13 re-testing as negative following BPT and all patients showing a symptomatic clinical improvement.
- This study found that mice injected with breast cancer cells and subjected to magnetic fields for 360 minutes a day over four weeks saw a suppression in tumor growth and viability, with the magnets contributing to cancer cell death via apoptosis (the natural process wherein cells die). (More studies are needed to determine how the magnetic fields may have induced or supported this apoptosis).
What conditions can Biomagnetic Pair Therapy be used to treat?
The following table lists some of the health conditions BPT can be used to treat, but it is by no means complete. There are a great many more issues that can be naturally treated and remedied with this therapy. If your issue is not listed, contact us to ask!
Back, Neck & Joint Pain
..and many more!
Frequently Asked Questions
What conditions can biomagnetic pair therapy help to treat?
are there any contraindications to the treatment?
People with pacemakers, those who are pregnant or suspect that they may be pregnant, or those who have had chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy within the last three years or who are planning to undergo any such treatment within one month are not advised to undergo biomagnetic therapy.
how long does the scan take?
Full body scans take approximately 90-120 minutes, depending on how many biomagnetic pairs are identified. More specific, localized issues can be targeted directly, leaving magnets applied for approximately 14 minutes.
how soon should I see results?
This varies greatly for each person. Some clients literally stand up and feel a change immediately, while in others the body will need several days to regenerate and continue healing after the magnets have done their job.
do I need more than one session?
The majority of clients require just a single scan to rid the body of any biomagnetic pairs that may be identified. However, it is possible for some pathogens to remain in the body, which may be eliminated naturally, but in some cases subsequent sessions may be necessary or beneficial.
how much do sessions cost?
Our charge is $120 per session for adults and $75 for children up to the age of 18. We feel this is very well priced in the industry (with many practitioners charging $200 or more), and for any professional therapy session that lasts 60-90 minutes.
What methods of payment do you take?
We accept cash, check, Zelle or Venmo at this time. However, we will be accepting credit cards very soon. Watch this space!
do you accept insurance?
We are a cash practice and do not accept insurance at this time.
do I need to fill out any forms?
While we do not ask for any extensive medical history, we do ask that all patients sign a waiver prior to each session acknowledging that the procedure you will undergo is not to be considered as medical treatment and is not intended to replace traditional medical practice (even though we think it often performs far more effectively) but is meant as holistic supplement to it. Neither Biomagnetic Therapy of Tampa nor Ana Claridge assumes any responsibility whatsoever for health choices made or medical outcomes prior to or after any biomagnetic therapy session.
WHAT SHOULD I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes; you should be prepared to lay down for up to 120 minutes if necessary. You should also wear sneakers, which will stay on during treatment.
What should I expect during the procedure?
Remaining fully clothed, you will lay on a massage-style table and small, lightweight but powerful magnets will be placed on your body to detect biomagnetic pairs (signifying pH imbalances in the body) which are then corrected using additional magnets. It is an entirely painless, non-invasive procedure.
Are there any side effects?
is there anything i need to do after my session?
After your session, it is important to increase water intake and to begin using a new toothbrush (throwing out your old one) to avoid reinfection. Clients who return to the same habits and/or lifestyle circumstances adopted prior to the session (e.g. contact with dogs) could be prone to reinfection and may consequently need additional sessions until such situations are corrected.
